Justin Johnson '21 Recruiting Profile

I'm a 5'7, 170 lb. Senior from Cedar Lake, Indiana, attending Marian Catholic High School with a weighted GPA of 3.2.  I am a confident left handed pitcher and play outfield for my high school team.  I was the only 2021 graduate from Lake County, IN to make the Crossroads Baseball All-star team at the varsity level as a freshman and I played on team Central at the 2020 PG Series Classic where we took 2nd place.  As of June 2020, I’m #5 LHP and #74 overall in Indiana and #343 LHP and a high follow nationally in the Perfect Game rankings.

Currently I’m playing on RakeCity a national college exposure organization.  In the falls of 2018 through 2020 I’ve pitched in Wilson Premier Series Classics and in 2018/2019 our team was semi finalist and won the championship. Also, I was named an all tournament team in PG 2019 WWBA 16U National championships at Lakepoint, GA.   I’m sitting 81-84 topping 85 with my FB, CB 71-73 and my change up is 72-74.

I strive to be a great teammate and leader.  I grind in the weight room and work on honing my pitching skills everyday to continue to get better. I always remember baseball is a sport that I have been blessed to play and my parents continue to give me the opportunity to grow and learn in my academics and in the sport I love.  When I cross the lines onto the field I’m a fierce competitor and hate to lose.
