Sara Johnson '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sara Johnson and I currently play for The Academy Boiler Juniors 17-Gold as a 6 rotation OH/DS. I attend Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois, and live in St. John, Indiana. I am a member of both the National Honors Society and the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica - Spanish National Honor Society, based on my grades and involvement in the Marian Catholic community. What sets me apart from other recruits is my extremely high volleyball IQ and my versatility. Since I started playing volleyball, I have always been blessed to train at the highest level, with extremely talented coaches who have taught me to appreciate every aspect of the game. I love learning new things about the game, and I spend hours going through my video, trying my best to critique myself so I can have a focus on certain skills during practice throughout the week. Some of my goals and aspirations for the future are to continue to play volleyball at the highest level I possibly can. I want to continue to learn more about volleyball and continue to challenge myself to be the best volleyball player I can be. I’m considering majoring in biology, with the goal of becoming a dermatologist or obtain a profession in sports medicine.
