Kellan Kennedy '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches, my name is Kellan Kennedy and I'm a class of 2025 catcher and middle infielder at United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois. Freshmen year I made varsity coming in as an infielder but switched to a catcher because our team needed a catcher. I had some experience in the past from catching bullpens for my travel teams and sometimes in games. Halfway through my freshmen season I started my first high school conference game and won the starting spot after that game. I have since maintained that starting role through my constant hard work, leadership, and dedication. I have developed a strong rapport with my pitchers by putting in work outside of practice. In practice I am constantly working to get better and strive to become the best I can so I can continue playing the sport that I love in the future in college and hopefully at the professional level. My goal since I first picked up a baseball, a bat, and a glove was to make it to the professional level because I have loved the sport since day 1 and it has always been my dream. 

I am a leader on and off the field, hard-working, open to coaching and change, and committed to getting stronger. I put the same amount of energy and effort into the classroom that I do on the field. I am willing to do whatever possible to help the team achieve its highest goals.
