My name is Daryl Yadiel Rivera Sanchez. I am currently a Junior in Elk Grove High School. This is my first year in this high school since i transfered over the summer from Willowbrook High School. I was born and raised in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. I am proud of the fact that i am Puerto Rican. Growing up there made me the person i am today. To me my dad is my biggest role model because he taught me to be respectful, humble, and to appreciate the things i have and the opportunities i have gotten. I have been playing baseball for most of my life. I started when i was five years old and i've been playing ever since. I am currently playing for the Lombard Lightning 17-18u team. This program has been amazing to me and gave me a chance to get better. I can say that baseball is my life, i love and respect this game. When i commit to play for any team i always give 110% effort to give my team the win, even if its on the field or in the dugout. My biggest dream is to play baseball at high level. This is my goal and ill do anything in my power to accomplish it. "Never give up, never quit, achieve this, and you will be great" this quote inspires me because i can compare to it. All i can say is that i will do anything in my power to accomplish my goal.
