Cameron Mitchell '17 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goal is to attend a university which will be a great fit for me.  I'd like to commit to a college that will enable me to use my athletic skills and help me to acquire new skills. I aspire to obtain a degree that will facilitate a sports related occupation and to pursue a professional baseball career.

I am a reliable, confident and team-oriented leader with an awesome work ethic. As Captain of our Team, I encourage others to perform at their best as well. I am coachable and flexible. Whether at 1st base or outfield I am accurate, fast, and give it 100% effort every time. 

What makes me different from many recruits are the hardships that I have endured in my life. Being raised by a single mother and overcoming homelessness has made me hungry to succeed and to make a better life for myself and my mom.  Therefore, I do not take for the opportunities that others often do. After a rough Freshman year, I worked hard to increase my GPA 4 points. I continue to improve this year as a Junior. I am determined to succeed.
