In-Game Hitting 2012Personal Statement
As a power hitting and hard throwing catcher/third baseman, batting left and throwing right, from Ingleside, IL; I helped lead my varsity team (Grant Community HS) to 3rd Place, Illinois State High School Playoffs 2012 (4A, largest HS). In our final 4 games: 7 for 14, 1 HR, 3 2B, 7 RBI, 6 R, 2 W; caught 22 innings, threw out 4 of 6 runners, and pitched 6 innings for a win and a scoreless final 3 innings to save the 3rd Place game. 2013 varsity season, .509 BA, .623 OBP, .979 SLG%, 10 2B, 1 3B, 7 HR, 20 BB, 41 R, 44 RBI. I am an Honor Roll Student (2014) with a 3.25/4.0 GPA. I am extremely excited to continue learning and working hard to further my education and baseball experience at the college level. I am very coachable, a team leader, and I am looking forward to immediately making contributions in the class room and on the baseball field. I am interested in schools with great academic and baseball programs.
