I come from a volleyball family. My dad played in college. My mom also played volleyball all her life. My uncle and both my aunts played competitively as well. I come from a Christian based home and we believe that God comes first. I love the game and have a passion for it....it is all made possible by God. And although I have a lot to live up to, I play with my heart, try not to be too hard on myself, and that is why I can play well under pressure. While most players just play one position, I play all round.....even though outside hitter is my main position. in the last three seasons I have made the roster on the older team. (I was 14 and played on the 15s team, 16 but played on the 17s team, etc ) I’m also looking towards playing on the Varsity team this month 3/2021, when the High School boys volleyball starts. I’ve been the only freshman that has practiced with the Varsity team in the summer.
I want to become a video game designer, computer IT, or a stock trader. I realized that coding is fun, I would love to design or make a game of my own, go into IT preferably cybersecurity, or be a stock trader. I've desired coding since middle school because I feel that coding is gonna be our future. Coding is also a life lesson and can teach you things in life. In coding, if there is a little mistake in the code, it won't work. You have to learn to reprogram it correctly. Volleyball is the same thing. If you make a mistake in volleyball, you got to find it and fix it. If I get a chance to join your team... I'll always find a way to adapt & change for the better. Information Technology is a vast niche. I would love to take on the challenge of programming things Or design a program of my own. I’m also very interested in stock trading as it can be a very lucrative career. But I really do like the idea of helping in the creation of video games as well, like game testing, since I grew up playing video games. I always liked to let my imagination explore the creations of the world. Give critics on how something should be and not be. I always like to try to balance things. This is why I'd love to go into the field of game testing or game design as well.
What makes me different from everyone else is that I also play back row. Coach keeps me in full time ALL last 3 seasons. I am the only one that she has done that with. No other player has had that honor. I’m very lucky that I’m versatile. My dad played college volleyball and also is an assistant coach in IJV Club that I played in the last 3 yrs. He trains and helps me condition during the week as well as the off-season and trains me to play at local grass tournaments throughout the summer. Volleyball is my passion and I try to play it all year round, not just at school and club but against A, AA, B & BB adult players. Winters we find open gyms and play against all levels of players.
I desire and focus ONLY on VOLLEYBALL as my sport. I'm always on time for things, (“ if you’re early you’re right on time. If you’re right on time you’re late.“) and even when I'm sick, I do my work....I’m always ahead of the game so I’m never behind. I look forward to making your roster in the future. -Ethan -Updated 3/18/2021
