Ryan Lane '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Lane. I am a 6'2" left-handed pitcher as well as playing first base and outfield from Freeport, IL. I  started on the varsity level as a sophmore. I have averaged a 3.3 gpa throughout my high school career. I have traveled with local teams to the districts, state and regional championships.  I also participated and played with Team USA when they travelled to the Dominican Republic in July, 2011.  We played with teams from seven different countries in the tournament. 
Last year I tried out for and made the Hard Knox travelling baseball team out of Rockford, IL.  We travelled throughout Illinois as well as Wisonsin, Iowa and even as far as Florida.  We won several tournaments throughout the year.  
I do not have any particular college in mind at this time. My ideal college would be somewhere were I could be both an athlete and be able to pursue a degree in business. I am open to nearly any school that offers an above average business course. Ideally,I would like to have an impact as a first year player and be able to build on that throughout my college years.
I feel that I have always been and will continue to be a leader in all that I do.   I feel that I have a positive attitude that will effect the people around me as well.
