Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are to grow stronger with my talents as a baseball player as well as explore a major that will put me in a good position to succeed if baseball does not work out as my profession. I am a good candidate for a college baseball team because as I grow mentally as well as physically I will be an asset in all facets of the game. What makes me different from other recruits is that I succeed in nearly all aspects of the game and hustle each and every opportunity that I get. I will also respect and show gratitude to any college willing to take a chance on me. Academically, I carry a 3.1 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale at a college prep school with an altered grading scale. - 6.7.17 - 6-foot-1, 185-pound first baseman, strong athletic build, flashed pop in bat. Right-handed hitter, open stance, short stride. Attacks the baseball with bat speed, some effort, raw bat strength gets out of his lower half at times. Made hard contact to pull side in BP, 91 mph exit velocity from the tee. Advanced runner for age and position, 6.84 laser timed 60. Defensively arm played at 73 mph across the diamond, long high ¾ action.

- Drew Winters is a 2019 1B/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Jacksonville, IL who attends Routt Catholic HS. Medium athletic build, projects well physically. Right handed hitter, upright open stance with a short shift into contact, rotational upper half to drive his swing, deep hand load, power approach with some lift in his swing plane, pull to mid field approach, bat speed should continue to grow as he gets stronger. 7.02 runner, has good lateral range at first base with quick athletic feet, present arm strength limits him to first base. Bat and power development will be the key to his future.
