Lorenzo Rios '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’2 200lb Catcher/ Middle Infield Baseball Player from Yorkville IL.  With the Pandemic this year, I was expected to start at short stop as well as play catcher. I maintained a 3.93 grade point average taking Upper College Prepatory Classes.  I finished the year on the A Honor Roll. In the summer, I play for a high level team. We play most tournaments out of state looking for the best competition.  As a team, we are considered one of the top 5 teams in the Midwest by Perfect Game. I expect to start as a Short Stop or as a Catcher.  It will be where ever the coach needs me most. I believe my greatest strengths as a baseball player is my Baseball IQ and my ability to work hard at improving every part of my game.   I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field.  I would like to pursue a University with an outstanding academic reputation in either Business or Kinesiology.  Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team.
