I started playing baseball at the age of four. My love for the sport started then too. When I was six years old, I would sit in front of the TV with a little whiteboard and keep track of the score and various other stats. This led me to understand so much more of the game. Even at that young age, I just wanted to play baseball at the next level, into college. I had one coach who encouraged us to watch the college games (as opposed to MLB). This only further drove my love for the sport. Realizing that it takes work to get to that level of play, I learned to wake up at 6am to lift before school, and then having practice after school in addition to my school work. Baseball has been an all-year commitment for most of my life. As fall baseball at my level dropped off, I have had the opportunity to give back and help the next generation. I have volunteered assistant coached at the 8U and 9U level for the past two years. I am also entering into my third year of umpiring for the little league. I have participated in cross country and basketball in the past, as well as being a debate team member this year. I find that I always go back to baseball. I’m always aspiring to play the absolute best game possible. I am seeking out a program that will challenge me both academically and athletically. At this time, I am open to any type of school. I would feel honored to play the game that I love for my entire life.
