Andrew Gillihan '24 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I could walk, my Mom says I have been gripping a baseball.  I have grown up in a baseball family, and I was blessed to grow up watching my uncle play high school and travel ball, and then watch him excel at the collegiate level.  I have always loved the game.

I started travel ball at the age of 8, while also playing little league and fall leagues.  Somehow I also found time to try out sports like football, basketball, golf and soccer.  Sports have taught me self-discipline, and that I have to work on my own to perfect my craft.  I continue to be a three sport athlete, playing football, basketball and baseball for my high school.

Over time, I have fallen deeper in love with baseball, and feel I could bring a lot to the table at the next level, if given the opportunity.  I bring passion and grit.  I am coachable, and I am a great teammate.  I battle until the battle is done. I bring mental toughness, which has been ingrained in me by my parents and great coaches throughout the years.

I am looking forward to finding a school that will allow me to get a great education and to have the full college experience.  Ultimately, my goal is to find these things at a school where I can follow my lifelong dream of playing collegiate level baseball.
