Devin Williams '15 Recruiting Profile

     Most students my age are unsure of their life goals.  Some of my peers seem to always be dipping their feet into their school academics, extra-curriculars or other activities outside of school, without ever fully submerging into their commitments.  I feel that I stand outside of this crowd as I know what I want for my life and I have worked hard to continuously succeed both in school and in baseball.  I have been able to maintain my GPA throughout the three years I have been in high school, I have excelled in the college courses added to my school load, and I continuously strived for high baseball stats including but not limited to:  Hitting averages of 511 and an ERA under 2 for both sophmore and junior years. 

I know that I am an exemplary candidate for your team because of my personal dedication, my ability to maintain a positive attitude through anything, and my inborn leadership skills.  I am driven to give 110% and always put my best foot forward.   I believe my drive is attributed to how I was raised.  Even though I grew up in a small town, that small town has the biggest heart I have ever known.  On top of having my parents support in everything I do, I also have the support of my family and the network of my town.  Family is the biggest part of my life, they have supported me from t-ball through my high school baseball career.  They are always encouraging me and have insisted that there is never a "perfect game," that I should always be thinking ahead and considering what could have been done better and how I will change that in the future.

I know what I want and I am able to say that I will work harder than anyone in order to get to and through college while being the MVP for your team.
