Brendon Herrin '19 Recruiting Profile

    Hi, my name is Brendon Herrin, and I am 5' 11" and weigh 170 lbs.  I bat and throw from the right side, and am primarily a shortstop and second baseman.  I am a part of the 2019 class at Victor J. Andrew in Tinley Park, Illinois, and I play baseball with the high school during the spring season.  I also play with the Downers Grove Longshots during the fall, winter, and summer seasons.  I am a high achieving student with a 4.643/4.00 GPA and a 1340 SAT, and am wanting to continue my career as a student-athlete.  My goal is to be able to attend a university with the highest level of academics so I can earn a degree in the STEM field, while being able to play baseball at the highest competitive level I can achieve.  I am always training and working hard to improve myself as a player on and off the field, and as a student in the classroom. 

    Baseball is a main part of my life, as I work hard everyday for many hours to try and improve my skills.  As I have always been one of the youngest in my class, it forced me to work harder to keep up with my other teammates.   My hard work converted into a great base of fundamentals and skills.  I have always been very consistent as a player, and have been told many times, by numerous coaches and teammates, that I am one of the hardest workers on the team.  Now my physicality is catching up, as I have gained 30 lbs in the past year, and am looking forward to finding a college that can offer me a great academic and competitive baseball future that will help me bring myself to the next level.
