Personal Statement

Hello, My name is Carter Peterson, currently on pace to graduate in 2027. Right now I stand at 6' 205lbs. and still growing. I started playing baseball at the young age of 4 years old. I have committed to learn everything beginning from the basics to the upper echlon of proper mechanics to be successful in the game of baseball whether it be on the mound, field, or dugout. Each and every off season I am determined to dedicate the time and effort to get bigger, stronger, and faster, along with the proper arm care during the heat of the season. I am most certain that I will be a valuable asset to your school, program, and team due to the work ethic I WILL put forth. Fun little facts about myself, I tossed a perfect game during my 13u travel baseball season, also hit 2 homeruns in consecutive innings, and I have always played with kids a year older than myself competing to the highest level. I live with 7 core values that come from my father and his military service that I contribute to my life for the sport of baseball which spell the acronym of Leadership

Loyalty- Be true and loyal to your teammates, coach, and program

Duty- Fulfilling the obligations of being a dedicated player on a successful or unsuccessful program knowing I have a job to do when the ball is put in play or hit

Respect- Treating people as they should be treated

Selfless Service- Put the welfare of my teammates, team, and coaches before my own in certain instances

Honor- Live up to all the hype and criticism of each and every player, team ,and organization. In order to be the best you have to put in the work to become the best with practice.

Integrity- Do what's right legally and morally

Personal Courage- Face the fear of making mistakes, correcting them, and moving on. Having adversity in any situation during a game makes the mind think about the next play

I am currently looking for a school that can and will be competitive along with great academics. I currently haven't come up with a field of study at this particular moment but on track to get there. Just got elected into the National Junior Honor Society
