Luke Hellman '21 Recruiting Profile

    I have loved baseball from as far back as I can remember.  My parents tell me I would sleep with a baseball under my pillow as a toddler.   I am passionate about the game.  I am a middle infielder and 3B with quick hands, a fast bat, and a leadership presence both on and off the field..  Through the years I have created connections with my coaches and teammates that others say stand out.   I am often told by parents in the stand that they love to watch me play.  My goal is to play D1 baseball to compete against the best of the best.  I attend  University High school, which is a college preparatory  school with a rigorous curriculum and classes teaching me strong moral values and discipline.   Currently I have a 3.73 GPA and continue to keep working hard just like I do on the ball field.  My father played D1 baseball at Kentucky 1981-1985 and carried on his career in the New York Yankees AA and AAA organization.   He played for Buck Showalter, Bucky Dent and Bill Mombocat.  He has been extremely supportive with his knowledge and guidance.  I will work hard for my coach, my team and myself.  I am a competitor and I go out on the field every time to WIN!
