Ryan Fender - 201...Personal Statement
For 2/3 of my life I have played the amazing game of baseball. Throughout the time in which I have played, I have played as a way to have a good time, develop great relationships, manage stress, and with hard work, hopefully as a way to have some of my college education paid. To date, I maintain a 3.96 weighted GPA. My academic goals are to exceed that average, graduate with an academic honors diploma, and earn an academic scholarship to also help pay college tuition. As for college, I am looking for a program which will fit me both athletically and academically.
Throughout my years playing baseball, I have discovered that once I set my mind on something or make a goal, I find the drive and the motivation to achieve that goal. I have learned that I perform well under high pressure circumstances and I like to be put in big spots during games. This game has also taught me many traits that correlate to both the game and all aspects of my life. For example, responsibility, selflessness, and commitment are a few of the traits baseball has taught me. I believe that I have the talent, work ethic and potential to play at the next level and make a major impact on your program.

Easy effort, good rhythm. Commands his arm side well with a fastball sitting 83-85. 2-seam fastball was 78-80 with some sink. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with gradual break at 63-65. Change-up has late fade at 72-73.

Good downward plane. Fastball shows slight run at 83-85. Breaking ball shows an 11/5 shape with gradual movement and kept in the strike zone at 67-68. Changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed and for a strike at 72-73; straight. High follow 2019 RHP.
