Personal Statement

I am the type of person that holds myself to very high standards. Because of this, I put too much pressure on myself before tournaments in the past and found the results to be less than satisfactory. I have learned how to harness my mental game and have found ways to redirect my mistakes into learning experiences and motivation, rather than just piling on more pressure. This motivates me to practice harder and understand that I need to be a student of the game mentally and physically. I am looking to go to a college that will give me a great education for whatever field of study I choose, but I also want a golf program that will get the most out of my potential. Golf has hooked onto me ever since I started playing, and I just want to try and have the best career I can with it. I definitely know that I will be ready to give my best effort to whatever college I attend.

Played Copperhead course first and third round, and played the Island Course the second round. Shot 75,76,77 for a total of 13 over from 6800 yards. Did not play my best golf, but I did gain a lot of good experience and I was able to get good practice in even when it was snowing back home in Indiana.
