I have grown up on the baseball field, with my dad being a head high school coach. When I was younger it was about being with him and his team in the dugout. Now its about loving the game and striving for greatness.
The past few years my high school has not had a winning tradition in any three of the sports I play. That has put a chip on my shoulder in regards to changing this losing culture. With both of my parents being high school coaches, I understand that it takes talent to win. At the same time, I also know leadership, work ethic, and positive attitude are key components to any winning culture. I always strive to provide any team I am on with all three of these components.
I have been told my size and stature could be a road block for me as far as playing at the next highest level. However, I know that passion and work ethic can help outweigh my physical limitations. Academically, a goal of mine is to finish top 10 upon graduation of high school. Even though it is a high priority for me to find a college baseball program that is the best fit for me, it is equally as important to me to find an institution that meets my needs academically.
