Personal Statement
My name is Ea Leialoha, my primary goal is to play college baseball at a school where I can also study computer science.
I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but moved to Paris, France when I was 7 years old. I am currently enrolled in an IB (International Baccalauréat) program, so my courses are taught in both, French and English. Thanks to my attending a bilingual school, I have been really challenged. I have met kids from all over the world, which has opened my mind to different cultures and taught me how to appreciate different points of view.
Alhough the French are not well known for their baseball, there is some great talent here, both among the players and the coaches. And for those of us who play, there’s a great passion for the game. The best part about playing baseball in Europe is that I’ve had the chance to play on a National team (12U and 15U) and to play in major international tournaments (in the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Spain, Poland,…)
