Hi, I’m Taj Bates! A hardworking, dedicated 17 year old senior attending the St. Croix Central High School on St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands. I am a 3rd baseman and my secondary position is catching. I started playing baseball when I was 4 years old in my backyard with my parents. After my parents recognized that I loved the sport they put me in tee ball. Surprisingly, I was the best on the team and also the youngest. From there I moved up to Little League. Before I knew it, I was 9 years old playing against 12 and 13 year olds. That was when I realized how passionate I was about the sport and decided from then that I wanted to pursue a career in baseball.
