Personal Statement

My goals for college are to obtain a degree in Exercise Science, participate in baseball and ROTC.

I am a committed and hard working teammate. I have a team first mentality and love competing. During our 2019 class 3A football state championship runner-up run, I was honored with the "Coaches" award for exuding the character (on and off the field) and team-first attitude the coaches expect from all players. During the football banquet Coach Kevin Miller noted that "Mat took a beating during the playoff run as a scout team HBack, battered and bruised - yet he never complained - just got up , no breaks and back at it".

I have been a member of the honor choir and competitive jazz group (which has won state 9\10 years now) as i like to be diverse and try new things. I know that commitment to hard work pays dividends in every aspect of life.
