Kaia Holtkamp '22 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with track in third grade participating in track and field day. Ever since then I have never tired of competing in meets and the training that goes in. I write my athletic and academic goals on my mirror every night before I go to bed so I am always reminded of what I want to achieve.  When I was in eighth grade I had my heart set on breaking records for the first time. Little did I know that in three years I would be a part of a school record breaking team in both the Distance Medley and the 4x800 meter relay; let alone be state champions in both those events in class 3A as well. In college I plan to keep striving for the goals I set for myself to be the best version of me in the classroom and as an athlete, give it my all in my studies and athletics, enjoy the experience, and be a good teammate.
