I fell in love with baseball at two years old. I taught myself to throw, catch, and hit a baseball so that my older brother would play with me. At six years old, I tried out for and made an 8U team in Texas. After moving to Kansas, I tried out for and made a competitive travel team that I played with for five years. We traveled all over Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and even went to Nebraska. After that, I decided it was time to make a change to take myself to the next level. I heard that 316 Elite Academy was having a tryout for two openings on their 14U team. I tried out and was offered a position. There were two 14U teams, an AAA team and a AA team. I ended up making the AAA upper team. We had a great first season going 28-11-1. We did so well that our coach entered us into the 16U state tournament instead of 14U. We finished in the top 8 even after competing against 16U teams. The next year out team (15U), won the 16U Kansas state championship. I have been with 316 Baseball for five seasons now.
I was selected as a USSSA Missouri/Kansas All State Player in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. I was selected as 6a hitter of the week in April 2024 and greater wichita area player of the week for hitting and pitching. I was named 2nd team in conference for outfield and honorable mention for pitching.
Official Scouting Report - Baseball Factory 04/18/2021 - All-In Membership - Kansas City , MO
"Ryan is a lean LHP who has a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. Fastball shows slight cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with cutting action. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.
