Tate Dickinson '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tate Dickinson and I'm a senior at Belle Chasse High School in Louisiana. At a very young age, I learned the importance of what can be accomplished through hard work and dedication. For me, that mentality translated onto the baseball field, in the classroom, and within my community. I am always on a mission to become the best version of myself. Throughout my academic career, I have been a contender for Valedictorian and maintained a GPA within the top 4% of my graduating class, all while taking AP and honors courses. In that case, there isn't any question about my dedication to academics and how important they are to myself and my future. When it comes to life outside the classroom, one of my top priorities is helping the community in any way possible, whether it be hurricane cleanup, volunteer baseball camps, or any other efforts that need assistance. Coinciding with my desire to acquire a notable postsecondary education, I aspire to be given the opportunity to play baseball at the next level, doing whatever it takes to make it there. With that being said, my teammates from both travel and high school ball would say I push them to be the best at what they do and that my personality is unmatched by anyone they know. I play the game with intensity, passion, flare, and respect, the way it was meant to be played. Valuing the bonds and friendships that I've made playing the game of baseball that I love, I strive to continue making those bonds at the college I have the privilege to call home.
