Personal Statement:
I started playing baseball at the age of four, and I knew from the first practice that this was what I wanted to do more than anything, PLAY BASEBALL! As I enter my senior year in high school I want to continue living my dream and to play at the next level.
I am usually the first player at practice and the last one to leave, often times staying just to talk baseball with the coaches. You will find no one that will work harder to improve his game to help your program than me. I have a full size lighted cage at my house, complete with mound and pitching machine and it is a rare day that I don’t hit and/or throw at least two buckets of balls. I am a team leader and often call team mates together on off weekends to throw the ball around or hit a few.
I try really hard in my studies and although I didn't take my studies as serious as I should have my Freshman and Sophomore years I now try to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, but always strive for better. I work with the coaches to help mentor younger players and help with the local youth summer baseball program.
I want to attend a college where I can continue to challenge myself both on the field and in the classroom to be the best student athlete I can be. I am open to play anywhere and would like to play at the highest level of competition possible. My parents have always been super supportive spending countless hours and dollars to let me continue with my passion, whether it was league, travel, or varsity ball they have always been there for me and playing at the next level would validate their trust and belief in my abilities.
