My name is Mark Johnston. I am a left handed first baseman playing for St. Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles, LA. I have also played right field. I am 5'11" tall and weigh 205#. It is my dream to play baseball in college. I am a power hitter and have had many home runs, triples, and doubles in my high school career. In the summer and on school holidays I played for Under Armour Baseball Factory, and the Texas Sun Devils traveling team. Most recently I played in the Under Armour Preseason All American Tournament in Mesa, Arizona, in January. This summer I have been asked to play on the Louisiana Legends team. In high school I played both football and baseball. I was the captain of the football team playing linebacker and led the team in tackles. Last season Coach Charlie Cryer put me in as the running back for 2 games to replace our injured player. In the second game I played as running back I rushed for 125 yards and had 3 touchdowns. I am very coachable. When I have free time, and I am not studying, I do Crossfit. I can offer my team hard work, determination, and a motivation to win.
In college, I plan on majoring in business. I work as hard in the classroom as I do on the field and have been able to maintain a 3.8 GPA. I am a member of the National Honor Society, and I also made Academic All State.
