Baseball has been a driving point in my life since I started T-Ball at the early age of three. In the years following I continued on through Little League, Babe Ruth, All-Stars, Junior Legion and Fall Ball. In my senior year, I am currently a four year starter at second base for my High School Varsity team, alongside Senior Legion and Fall Ball. In the short off-season, I spend 5 days per week in the gym and attend various clinics that are specifically geared towards the intricate skills of the game along with strength and agility training.
Dedicating my time to grow as a player has become a lifestyle; a continuous journey of growth. A journey where I have had to look at my mistakes not as failure but an opportunity to learn. A journey where I have had to learn to be humble, disciplined, ambitious and have a growth mindset, not resisting change but viewing it as an opportunity to grow. I will never forget the moment I learned true respect for my coaches, when pushed into discomfort led to true growth. When criticism became something I would crave. It is within these guidelines that I have been able to also excel as a student academically, maintaining honor roll from seventh grade through my senior year and taking a dual enrollment College English Course. Golden rule, integrity and a tenacious drive for excellence are what I believe set me apart from other recruits making me a great candidate for the community of the University I attend and their baseball team.
Staying true to the above mentioned qualities, a strong work ethic and maintaining the discipline required to be able to tune out the noise and stay focused on my short term and long term goals, with a "hungry growth" mindset, I am confident I can achieve success academically, athletically, in career placement and community contribution thereafter.
