My name is Gavin Rawstron and I pride myself as a student athlete, not only do I train for baseball all year by attending camps, playing for my AAU travel baseball team and then doing infield training with my AAU coach, but I also take pride in the hard work done in the classroom. I always put school first, grades are very important to me and keeping my GPA above a 3.5 is what I strive for. Everyday I challenge myself in the classroom, by taking AP classes and now I am our classes treasurer, I like to do these things because it helps me create stronger friendly relationships and lets me help my peers while challenging myself and going out of my comfort zone. I strive to be the best person I can be whether that's helping my family or community. Every year our town recreation baseball teams have regular season games and I try and make as many as I can knowing many of those kids look up to me. This is what I enjoy, to be able to help the community any way I can whether if it's as small as just attending. Leadership and chemistry are very important to me on and off the field, a strong friendship with trust will help you become stronger on every level on and off the field. I believe I'm a good candidate for many teams because I can add to the offense for being a strong contact hitter but also having power for the Extra Base hits, and also because of my speed and strength I can reach those hard to get balls that are hit in the gaps. I am very open to any college as long as they have a major in business or accounting because that is my aspirations for my future. I am a great player to add to the team because I will add some laughter while also adding stronger focus and help the team by working my hardest everyday and adding competition.
