My name is Leo Boehringer. I am a right-handed pitcher and first baseman in the Class of 2024. I aspire to play college baseball and grow as a young man on the baseball field as well as in the classroom. I pride myself on being an unselfish teammate with the ability to persevere and stay in any game no matter the situation. I have played varsity baseball since I was a freshman at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. As a sophomore, I pitched in all of our biggest games during the season, pitching my team to victory twice against our division rivals, leading us to victory against multiple out-of-conference teams, and holding our opponents to 0 hits in our regional final game. I love to compete. Off the field, I work to improve my performance in the batting cage, in the gym working on velocity, strength, and speed, and in studying the game. Academically, I'm part of a specialized STEM program at a competitive city high school and am working this summer on an internship at The Johns Hopkins University. I have learned a lot from my mentors, teachers, coaches, and peers. I hope to continue making progress on the field, to achieve my academic goals, and to make positive contributions to the community.
