Mark Lopez '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mark Lopez and I am a 2017 graduate at the Boys’ Latin School of Maryland. While I know being talented athletically is very important, I also know keeping up academically plays a key role. So far in my high school career I have maintained a 4+ GPA while taking a challenging course load. I have taken 4 AP courses which include AP BC Calculus, AP English Language, AP Physics as well as AP BC Calculus. I will further build off these courses next year with 4 more AP courses: AP English Literature, AP Spanish 5, AP Statistics, and Linear Algebra/Multi-variable Calculus. I have also excelled on the baseball field. I pride myself on being able to play multiple positions which include MIF, CF and Pitcher because I know you have to be ready to play anywhere at the next level. I have earned MIAA All conference in my Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years, and was named All District by MSABC in my Sophomore and Junior years. Outside of high school ball I have been a Crab-fest Junior All American, and participated in the MSABC Team Maryland Futures game as well as the follow up game against Team Virginia. I have recently participated in the the Perfect Game WWBA 2017 Grads National Championship in Emerson, Georgia, and received All-tournament honors in the Perfect Game WWBA Underclass World Championship in Fort Myers, Florida.
