Ryan Morrison '24 Recruiting Profile

     I have been a multisport athlete since I was very young.  Playing lacrosse, basketball, soccer, and baseball.  Being active is an important part of my life’s balance.  The sports I have played and the coaches I have played for have taught me many important lessons. As I have grown my passion for baseball has grown. I like the physical and mental challenge of baseball. As a pitcher and shortstop for my high school and travel teams I have honed my skills and focus for the sport.  I continue to strive to better myself each day at this game I love.

     I attend Gerstell Academy which is a leadership school with an academically rigorous education.  Attending a school with a focus on leadership has helped me to understand the importance of being a leader and to grow these skills.  I bring the same hardworking mindset from the field to the classroom.  I maintain a high GPA earning both academic and leadership honors.  I have been inducted into the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society.  I have been a captain for my high school and travel soccer teams and my travel baseball team.  In the fall of 2022 I was awarded the coaches leadership award for soccer.  This past spring I was named First Team All County Pitcher.

    I enjoy being a positive and encouraging leader for my teams and within my school community. I benefit from pushing myself to be my best in all areas of my life.  I want to find the right match at the highest level of competition possible.  I know that wherever I land I will bring my strong work ethic, drive, and leadership to the field and the classroom.
