Baseball has been a major part of my life since the beginning. Ever since I was seven years old, I had a bat and glove in my hands. Throughout my years playing baseball I have always dreamed of playing at the next level and that I knew that I would have to work harder than the person next to me. I have gained important skills and qualities that would make me a strong asset to your team. From playing since machine-pitch I have always known that baseball is my life and without it I am not myself.
To start off, I never played travel ball when I was younger. My first year of travel ball was the summer going into my sophomore year, so I lacked some of the skills and experience of other players that have played travel ball since they were little. However, because of this I was like my own coach because I knew that I must out play them, so I research and learn as much as I can from videos. I was able to stand out from players that did play travel ball because I adapted to what I had at that time.
That personally made me very humble and self-disciplined to train on my own and being able to find a way to get better. This has given me the drive to be the best possible teammate I could be and being able to improve as a player. I feel that a big part of becoming a great player is how well you can get a team to bond with each other and being able to trust the man next to you knowing that if I fall they get my back. That to me is what makes a great player and what leads to a great team.
I believe that I would bring a great personality, mentally tough and strong qualities to your team. I get along with my coaches, teammates, and teachers. I am always there for them if they need an extra hand or help. I bring a positive attitude when I am on the field because you can't get down on yourself. It's baseball, it's the only sport that you can be great by winning three out of ten times. That's what makes the sport so special and bringing a bad attitude hurts the team. Many of these qualities have helped me in my baseball career and have helped me improve as a better player and as a better person.
I am looking for a school that will allow me to have a great experience consisting of an amazing education and being able to follow my dreams which is to play college baseball at the highest level possible. I am willing to put in the extra hours and studying to play at my best against the best. I will never stop grinding and I will never give up, it's just who I am.
