Playing college baseball is very important to me, not just because it's my dream, but of what it shows. It shows that all the hard work I am putting in, the long hours of writing emails and filling out questionnaires, was worth something, and not wasted. It proves to all the other kids who are chasing the same dream I am, that it can be done.
I believe I will make a good candidate for your team because of my current skill set, my understanding of the game and my desire to continue to learn more. Being a catcher, my responsibility is to be a general on the field. In order to be the best catcher I can be, I know I must continue to improve my skills and my knowledge. I attended the Pennsylvania Baseball and Softball coaches clinic in January of 2020 in order to listen and learn from some of the top college coaches in the area.
I think what separates me from other recruits is again my dedication to the sport. I take being a student-athlete very seriously, both on and off the field. Unlike other high school athletes my age, my focus is on my long term goals, rather than weekend plans.
