- COMMENTS 2/27/21 Taber is a 5-foot-9, 150 pound right-handed hitting outfield/infield prospect. He hits out of a narrow stance, with the hands set high above the back shoulder. The swing begins with a leg kick and the hands dropping into a flat, direct path through the hitting zone. Taber shows quick hands, creating a lot of loud contact and an exit velocity of 88 MPH during his batting practice. The swing remains balanced throughout and he gets through contact well. In the outfield, Taber showed a strong arm, with a velocity 88 MPH on his throws. The work well as he moves to get into a good fielding position. As he transitions through the ball, he makes a good exchange into a short arm-swing and creates a good line with his target. He finishes over his front leg and gets good carry on his throws. In the infield, Taber was 76 MPH on his throws across the diamond. The footwork is good, allowing him to break down behind the ground ball in a good fielding position. He works through the ball well, creating a direct line with his target and uses the same short arm-swing to deliver the ball across the infield.
