I would like to play baseball at a competitive level during my college years. I plan to major in business with a minor in Spanish and hope to go on to law school.
In October of 10th grade, I was injured with a severe concussion playing ice hockey that lasted over 8 weeks. During that time, I was unable to do any schoolwork at all read, do homework, take any exams, write papers or even carry my books to class. It was a difficult year with the headaches but I worked hard and was determined to keep my grades close to my capabilities. It took almost a year until I truly felt like myself again. My 10th year grades are not representative of other years, but my lengthy injury was difficult to overcome.
Knowing that I was able to come back from such a lengthy injury and still complete my Sophomore year is indicative of my will and strength to overcome obstacles and excel.
