Hello,
My name is Parker Ciurla and I would love to play baseball at the collegiate level. I’m coachable, focused, and work hard at every practice and training session. I’m usually the first one in the locker room and last one to leave.
I will be a leader for your team right out of the gate. At Athens high school I was selected captain by my peers and coaches for baseball and football teams. I was also the starting quarterback on the football team where leadership is a must. I will bring leadership and integrity to your program.
As much as I love baseball, my primary focus in college will be my education.

- 01/17/2022 - All-In Membership - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Parker is an OF/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and room to add throughout. In the OF, shows a good pre-pitch routine, with efficient footwork, and ability to cover ground. Aggressive routes on groundballs, with ability to pick out hops, and tries to field the baseball out front. Works through the baseball, with a clean transfer, and squares his shoulders to throw. Made consistent throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with a long/loose arm action, and an arm velocity up to 77mph. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and works with good direction towards target. Keeps his frontside closed and has a good glove tuck. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits 71-72mph with plus command, a 1/7 shaped breaking ball with early break, and a changeup with arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate, he starts with an upright and even stance. Shows good balance at contact point with ability to keep hands inside the baseball. A quiet head enables him to track pitches well. Has a direct barrel path as he squared up baseballs to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 77mph. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him making huge strides on the baseball field.

- Training is three days a week in 2 hour blocks; The first hour is dedicated to strength and conditioning specifically for pitchers. The 2nd hour is focused on pitching mechanics, velocity improvement drills, and the mental aspects of pitching. Justin Robinson has 5 years of professional baseball experience and 15 years of coaching experience. In his years as a coach, he has won 3 high school state championships at Bishop Foley in 2011, 12, 13. He also went to the USCAA college world series as the pitching coach for Rochester College in 2004. He has won numerous tournament championships in summer baseball coaching for the A’s. As a pitching coach, he has helped well over a hundred pitchers get into college baseball and worked with over a dozen pitchers who have gone on to get drafted. Robinson’s expertise is throwing velocity and commanding the strike zone.

- Greg Fettes is the head coach of the SOA 15u team. Greg was a high school dream team catcher drafted by the Tigers. Fettes elected to attend the University of Kentucky instead, where he played three seasons before being drafted by the Oakland A’s. Now he has transferred that great ability into coaching. In his first season as a head coach at Bishop Foley High School, he won the State Championship in Division 3. He was also selected the Catholic League AA Coach of the Year.
