Sean Maher '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sean Maher and I am a 5’9, 175lb Senior Catcher at Woodhaven High School located in Brownstown Michigan. This is my first year at Woodhaven. I transferred my senior year because of the academic programs Woodhaven has to offer. Before transferring, I attended Flat Rock High School where I was a starting varsity player my freshman thru junior year. I started at many positions including 3rd base, 1st base and pitcher but my main position is catcher. I also was a Varsity Soccer player my freshman through junior year.

It has always been my goal to play for a college baseball program that will help me not only grow as a player but also as a person. I know I can be successful at the next level.I am a vocal leader on and off the field and always lend a hand to my coaches and teammates whether hitting ground balls, catching extra bullpens, or by throwing batting practice. I'm very dedicated to working out and improving my defensive skills, which has always been my strength. I feel I have the necessary skills, work ethic, and desire to attain my goals if given the opportunity.I would like to find a school that will provide a solid education towards Sports Management or Athletic Training and allow me the chance to play competitive baseball. There is no specific geographic area where I'd like to play. I am willing to go in state or out of state to play.
