Jules Hidalgo '21 Recruiting Profile

My father introduced me to the game of baseball when I was young and I’ve been a fan ever since. I started playing the game since I was 7. I love listening, playing, watching and even talking about, the game when ever I get a chance. Because I love this game so much I always work hard to get better at it and I never let up during game. I sprint out every ground ball, sprint to my position every inning, round every bag, try to stretch singles into doubles, etc. My motto is “Hard work beats talent, when talent stops working”. I never let myself slow up, on the diamond and it’s the same way in the classroom. I take my school work very seriously and that means if I’m struggling in a certain subject or area, I will miss a practice to get help with whatever is wrong. Academics comes before athletics. I am a student athlete, not an athletic student.
