Nicholas Bastian '20 Recruiting Profile

I am as passionate about school as I am about sports. I have had the privilege of being able to play travel baseball since I was 7 years old, in organizations that stress family, faith, education and then sports. My coaches and teachers have all been very supportive of creating a balance between sports and education, while my parents help me to keep my priorities straight.  

I am looking to attend a college that will allow me to concentrate on both my education and my sport of choice, baseball. I have been able to reach decent heights in my baseball career, being named All-State First Team in my Sophomore and Junior seasons, as well as All-Catholic, All District and All Regional in my Sophomore and Junior seasons. 

I know that I am different from other recruits, because I am extremely focused on my future and I have a firm grasp on the things that got me to where I am right now. I am truly thankful to everyone that has helped me become the son, sibling, student and athlete that I am today. I try to remember three things that my parents have taught me since I can remember, the 4 H's. Humility, Hunger to be better, Honesty and Hard Work. I take these to the classroom and playing field every time I enter them.
