Playing baseball at the college level has a been a dream of mine since I started playing at the age of 4. My first word was ball which must have been a hint that I would grow up loving the game and having a strong dedication to the sport.
When my buddies were hanging out or playing video games, I would be out on the field hitting bucket after bucket of balls. My dad would sacrifice his vacation hours and overtime just to go and throw batting practice to me before/after games for many hours each week. He knew how much this meant to me. I actually put a few dents in my pool and broke a couple of windows while working on my swing. My mom was not too thrilled to come home and see that.
I had some exciting moments in my younger days playing baseball including: winning 3 Michigan Little League State Titles, 1 USSSA State Championship, 1 Junior League State and Regional Championships. Winning these Juniors titles, gave my team the opportunity to play in the Junior League World Series. These all created great memories that I will always cherish.
I am willing to put in the work that needs to be done to make myself the best ball player I can be for my teammates, my coaches, and my family. I am a leader for my high school team as I will do anything to make my team better as a whole. I believe in old fashioned work ethics with hard work in practice and in the off-season that shows during the season.
