When it comes to baseball, I aspire to do big things in the sport. I believe God has called me to the game, and he has blessed me with the ability to play it at a high level. I value baseball, but not more than my relationship with God or my family. My parents have provided me with all the resources I could have asked for, and I am eternally grateful. I am not the person to want something but not work for it. I train every day whether it is in the weight room, cages, or stretching and watching videos to improve my game. I have been raised to be a Christian and a leader by actions and words. I will not swear often, but I do not take any nonsense. If someone is acting out of line, I will be the first one to show them what they should be doing. I have received four awards from my tennis and hockey coaches for my leadership and work ethic. In addition to the awards, I am a part of the Huron League Sportsmanship and Leadership Conference. I was one of 6 people selected in my high school to attend. I also do not judge my games or matches by stats but by the amount of effort I put in. I believe that if I give 100% and fail, then it was not meant to be, but if I give 50% and fail, then it is my fault. I have been playing baseball all my life and devoted my heart and soul to not only being a skillful player but having a very high baseball I.Q. I believe that knowing how to play the game and playing it the right way is more important than being the most skilled. In addition to baseball, I play tennis and hockey. I have a 4.2 GPA and plan to maintain that through my last two years in high school. My grades and education are extremely important to me because I know that I can not play baseball forever, and I want to live a successful life when my career in sports is over. I may not have the best metrics, and I may not be the best showcase player, but if a coach who understands the value of somebody who plays the game intelligently and with maximum effort gave me a chance, I can promise you that you would get the best I have to offer.
