July 2015Personal Statement
I have three qualities that I believe make me a good candidate for any team, and those are: I'm very coachable, being a starting pitcher I train my body to go deep into games, and I show leadership the days I am pitching and the days I am not. I consider myself a work horse because I will come back out there to finish the game in the last inning and have not lost velocity but even gained some and that is due to my workouts done in the offseason. A key leadership attribute that I find a pitcher needs is when there is a fielding mistake, and your teammate puts his head down, it is my job to go over and tell him forget about it and let’s get the next one. Behind every athlete there is a story on why they want to make it as far as the sport will take them, and I have that story also, and that is my motivation everyday that makes me want to strive to become a college athlete and one of the top students in my class.
