Owen Robinson '23 Recruiting Profile

I began playing baseball when I was 6 and immediately loved the game. I currently play pitcher and first base. I consider myself an athletic, coachable and team first player. I pride myself on working hard nearly every day to get faster and stronger and the results are starting to show. This off-season I gained 8 MPH on my fastball and 5 MPH on my exit velocity and my goal this year to get under 7 seconds in the 60. For the last couple years I have consistently been hitting clean up for the various teams I have been on though this summer I moved to a pitcher only role as a starter.  

In addition to baseball I have also played 3 years of basketball for my high school and this year I got my varsity letter. Academically, my high school Minnetonka is always ranked at or near the top of schools in the state of Minnesota. I have a 3.75 GPA that includes several AP/IB level courses and I recently achieved my gold bilingual certification in Spanish. This year I started the Vantage Business Environmental Science program where I worked directly with local businesses solving real-world challenges. I have volunteered numerous times in my local community at People Serving People, Feed My Starving Children and Second Harvest Heartland where I serve or package meals for people in need.

I have a strong desire to attend a university that will challenge me to reach my full academic and baseball potential and I am excited start the process.
