One of the hardest things to do, is to retire an old baseball bat. Ever since I picked up my first bat, an orange and grey Easton, I knew right then that my life would be measured in the lives of baseball bats. With each bat, indeed with each ‘at bat,’ my love for the game was cemented. I have always had a strong passion and love for baseball. I am constantly being praised for my leadership and how being a leader positively impacts my team through having fun, which keeps us relaxed. When playing relaxed, we perform better, and our chemistry is stronger. I remind myself and others that fast is smooth and smooth is fast (play relaxed but focused). Coaches have consistently told me that I am coachable. I have been able to understand what I need to work on and can feel when I do something wrong. I have high confidence in myself, but constantly improving. I improve by working in the weight room 3-4 times per week, analyzing film, onfield, and in the batting cage. I work hard and push myself both on the field and in the classroom. I believe that how I am in the classroom, is how I am on the field. They are one in the same. I strive to do my best in everything I do. I desire to play baseball at the next level and keep moving until I reach the top.
