I have the self-motivation to take my skills to a collegiate level. Through my passion, heart, and resilience, I have what it takes. Although I have a lot to learn, I am ready to be coached to victory and beyond. Rowing since the age of twelve has allowed me to find the love I have for this hard sport and to discover what it means to be an authentic rower and respectable teammate.
My first coach, Miriam Baer is the reason I row and the reason I fight to be number one in every practice and race I am in no matter what the situation. I know what it means to work hard for myself and my team. I have the aspirations to win and to push even when it is hard.
In the classroom, I work just as hard to pursue the things I love, such as on the water. I have a strong work ethic and volunteer around my school, community, and church.
I want to be great, and I want to be remembered as a dedicated athlete and engaged student at my future college. In this sense, I will continue to stay focus on working hard on getting the most out of my education. I will do what is asked of me, and I will not give up.
