As a young child I grew up with a not-so-great father figure to say the least, because of this my younger siblings depended on me heavily and it helped me develop a strong leadership attribute early on. My mother worked 2 jobs to compensate for the absence of my dad, leaving me and my little brother alone 60% of the time. School was very beneficial for us because we got to escape the reality of our home life. This is where my love for baseball began.
I became friends with Joe Feagans in the begging of kindergarten. He mentioned that his dad, Joe Feagans (not senior because of different middle names) was coaching a T ball team, so I joined. I instantly fell in love with the game. I have not skipped one single year of playing baseball, starting every season, until now.
High school is a massive step from middle school ball. Fall season I sat the bench most of the Varsity season until the end. We were crushing our opponent and Coach Ewers our head coach for the High school team gave me an opportunity, DH. The lack of playtime and not starting really messed with me mentally. This year I have found what my personality is truly like. It opened my self awareness and made me have to try harder to contain my attitude and body language because I know I have to fight for a spot on the field now, It isn't just given to me. I am thankful for this obstacle because it has helped me better my self as a human being. I do everything I do on the field to the best of my ability, I try to keep my head high and honor the game of baseball, even when things aren't going my way.
I have very high expectations for my academic performance, both in college and High school. My overall goal is to play at the college level and if it takes me that far, even farther. I am very thankful for the NCSA program.
