Garrett Carden '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Garrett Carden and I'm 6'2" and 205 lbs. My dream has always been to play baseball at the college level and I am currently seeking a school in which I can live out that dream ! I am open to all DI, DII, JUCO & Christian Colleges. Just a little about me, I started playing on a traveling USSSA team when I was 8 and continued up through my Junior High Years. I started Varsity as a Sophomore and I earned All Conference Honorable mention at 3rd Base. The team also played in the state championship and we finished up 2nd in the State. This was an awesome accomplishment as we were the only team in school history to make it this far ! My Junior year I was asked if I could move to 1st base. I had not really played that position much but knew that I could do it as I am a great corner guy. I had always played 2nd, shortstop and 3rd growing up. I had a great year and so did the team, we were District Champions (back to back, Sectional Champions,and Quarterfinalists. I hit a 3 run homerun in the sectional game, which was my 2nd of the year. I am excited about this upcoming season, my Senior year as I will be playing 1st base again and will also be in the pitching rotation. I could help your team, as I am a consistent,hardworking power hitter and also an outstanding infielder.
