One of the details that has influenced who I am is that I've grown up on a farm and have worked many kinds of animals ranging from cats to horses. This has given me a greater sense of compassion, patience, and work ethic. Another detail that I feel has shaped me greatly is that my father is a retired Navy veteran and that has given me a greater respect for those who have served or are currently serving. One thing that I've always loved to do is shake the hands of people that have either served or are serving. Doing this has made me more appreciative of what we have and our freedoms.
What I have learned through my sport is greater respect, team loyalty, and has strengthened my work ethic. This has helped me form stronger relationships on and off the field with coaches and teammates. When I was in kindergarten my mother signed me up for our local Tee-ball league and that's when I fell in love with baseball and ever since then I haven't looked back since.
