Matt Buchanan '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Matt Buchanan and I am a 2022 student at Westminster Christian Academy.  I am 6'2" weighing 175lbs and a LHP and play OF.  As long as I can remember I have dreamed of playing baseball in college!  I am a two-sport athlete, playing baseball and basketball on both varsity teams.  Playing traveling baseball for Adidas Academy with tournaments in Nashville, KC, Cincinnati and Wisconsin this summer.  I have worked very hard off season over the years with pitching, hitting and a focus on speed and agility.  This past year I have  increased my muscle mass along with improving my fastball, change up, curve ball and slider.

I am looking to pursue a business degree with an emphasis in entrepreneurship.  I have worked hard in the classroom on my academics while holding down a part time job during school.  I have played for many coaches over the years, each with a unique coaching style.  I have learned so much from those experiences and grateful for the opportunities to learn from such a talented bunch of coaches with some amazing teammates.  My coaches would tell you I am a very coachable player who has an unbeatable work ethic.
